New Summer Hours for ISFS. The Office of International Student and Faculty Services will operate on the following schedule for summer quarter:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Tuesday from 8:00 am to 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

We will return to operating hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm beginning Fall quarter.

Walk-in appointments are available every weekday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. during Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters. There are currently no walk-in appointment hours scheduled for Summer quarter.

Our website is undergoing construction and a new and improved version will be launched soon. If you cannot find what you are looking for here please call our office or schedule an appointment with an international student advisor.

Information regarding airport pick-up for Fall quarter will be posted soon.

Update on Optional Practical Training (OPT)
9 April 2008
On Friday, April 4, 2008, USCIS announced that it would be publishing new regulations regarding OPT.  These regulations were published on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, and became effective immediately. 
The key provisions of the new regulations are described below.  The provisions that have received the most attention are the provisions for some students to extend their post-completion OPT for an additional 17 months and the provision that will provide certain students authorized for OPT an extension of their employment authorization while waiting for their H1B approval.  THERE ARE OTHER IMPORTANT PROVISIONS IN THESE NEW REGULATIONS. For more information click here (you will need Adobe Reader to view this document).
