Freshman Precollege Orientation

All students starting during the Summer Sessions will attend a Friday, June 20 Precollege orientation session, where both students and parents have the opportunity to meet with other incoming freshmen and parents. During the day-long event, students will take a math placement exam, learn about the DARS system, attend several information sessions and receive advising. While parents are not required to come, it is recommended that they take advantage of the orientation and the information that is presented.

As a participant of the Early Start Freshman Summer Experience you are REQUIRED to attend the Precollege Friday orientation session. Freshmen orientation is required. It lays the groundwork for all students to begin their college careers. In the orientation you will meet with an advisor, take placement exams, receive counseling and register for your summer quarter classes.

If you plan to attend the Early Start Freshman Program during first or both sessions, your Precollege orientation will begin at 9am, Friday, June 20.

Complete details about this orientation will be mailed, along with other program information, during the week of June 2.

For those of you traveling from a distance, the residence hall will be open for move in on Friday afternoon.
