An impassioned drive for donors Erica Cohen is leading the "Got Swabbed?" bone marrow drive from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, in the Baker University Center third-floor atrium. She hopes the drive will turn up a match for a 16-year-old transplant patient from her native Pittsburgh.

Director of Avionics Engineering Center named fellow Michael Braasch, director of the Avionics Engineering Center at the Russ College of Engineering and Technology and professor of electrical engineering at Ohio University, has been named a fellow of the Institute of Navigation for his contributions to advancing satellite and aviation navigation.

'Planet Panorama' provides perspective Most people have a hard time grasping just how vast the universe is. This problem inspired faculty member Mangala Sharma to create a new museum exhibit that could bring the relative size and distance of planets in our solar system into focus. "Planet Panorama" is a traveling exhibit that represents the solar system on a scale many Americans can grasp: a football field.

Planting the seeds for change Baker University Center's fourth floor entrance is now home to an interactive sculpture that allows individuals to make their own pledges to the environment. The "Sustainability Sprout" is located just inside Baker University Center's fourth-floor entrance. It will be on display through the end of April.
Senior to join elite Navy program Bryan Crosby, an Ohio University engineering student, has been accepted into a highly selective United States Navy Officer Candidate School training program. He is one of 35 who will be trained in nuclear carrier operations.

Community college partnership grows Central Ohio Technical College has joined the Ohio University community college partnership program, the eighth institution to do so. With the agreement, COTC students can work toward bachelor's degrees through the university's first fully online degree program.
