|OHIO charitable at 5th Annual “Bare on the Bricks”|
More than 400 Ohio University students gathered at Baker University Center on Feb. 22 for the 5th Annual “Bare on the Bricks: A Nearly Naked Mile” charity event. Students donated clothing and funds to local charities totaling 40 bags of clothing and more than $2,100, an increase from last year.
|RecycleMania: Halfway done, 190,000 pounds of waste collected|
By the end of this week, the annual multi-university recycling challenge known as RecycleMania will be halfway over. Already, Ohio University is off to a running start. In two weeks, Recyclemania has collected 190,000 lbs of materials. If this pace continues for the entire eight weeks, about 750,000 lbs ( or about three-quarters of a million) of waste could be recycled, says Andrew Ladd, Campus Recycling and Refuse manager.

His loose translation constituted the motivational theme for Monday’s stop — which featured special guest and Imgur founder Alan Schaaf, BSCS’ 10 — on Ohanian’s 77-university tour to promote his new book, Without Their Permission, to inspire attendees to start implementing their business ideas now, while they have the luxury of time, flexibility and a creative environment as students.

|18 students to spend spring semester studying in Rome|
Eighteen Ohio University students will spend Spring Break in Rome, the Eternal City. From the first day, they’ll roam its historic center and periphery, exploring imperial temples and the Colosseum; Christian catacombs, churches, and the Vatican museums; as well as monuments and boulevards from the Fascist era.

|eLearning’s Testing Center relocates to Bromley Hall|
The eLearning OHIO Testing Center moved from Haning Hall to the Lower Level of Bromley Hall at the beginning of January. Students who need to take proctored examinations for online and print-based courses should enter the testing center from the Bromley Hall entrance on West Union Street.
