Sakura Festival 2008

Sakura Festival 2008 was held on April 12, at 1st Floor Lounge in Ping center due to the weather.

In Japan, April is the first month of new fiscal year, like stundets start going to school, people start working at new place, etc...After cruel winter, Japanese people celebrate "the beginning of new life" with Sakura (Cherry Blossom).

We enjoyed to have professional Taiko (Japanese traditional drum) performances, chorus, and dances. Traditional and sub-cultural dancing was really attractive. Everyone could try traditional games with us. It was a great opportunity to experience Japanese culture!
